Sense 2.1 demoed on the HTC hero with multitouch in full swing was written by the team at Android Authority.

HTC has added a new feature to the Sense UI home screen. It will now have multi touch support on the home screen as well. Soon you will be able to zoom in and out on the main screen by utilizing the pinch zoom feature.

Motorola recently updated what’s going to be included in their 2.1 update. Some of the highlights are listed after the break.

Seems like it was just yesterday when we told everyone the Droid would be getting Android 2.1 in the next week or two. Now it’s the Cliq’s turn.

As I mentioned yesterday, hopefully Motorola will update all their Android’s to 2.1 soon and it looks as though this is the case. The Devour should get this update as well since it is a MotoBlur device like the Cliq. March is looking like its going to be a big month for Android and Motorola.

We learned this morning what we'll likely see once the Motorola Droid gets the update to Android 2.1. Now we have have a time frame. Motorola, on its official Facebook page, dropped the following (emphasis ours):

When the Nexus One was announced, many folks were questioning Google’s game plan and why it would release such an amazing device shortly after the Motorola DROID’s release. If that wasn’t enough to make some DROID owners envious, the Nexus One received a multitouch update last week which allowed pinch-to-zoom gestures within Google Maps, the Android browser and photo gallery.
