Motorola recently updated what’s going to be included in their 2.1 update. Some of the highlights are listed after the break.

Droid's 2.1 update coming this week, Motorola says on Facebook
We learned this morning what we'll likely see once the Motorola Droid gets the update to Android 2.1. Now we have have a time frame. Motorola, on its official Facebook page, dropped the following (emphasis ours):

Motorola Droid gets pinch-to-zoom in Google Maps application (update)
You guys wanted pinch-to-zoom on the Motorola Droid, and you're getting pinch-to-zoom on the Motorola Droid. At least in Google Maps, thus far, which has been updated to Version 3.4.0 and lets you get your multitouch on.
Let's hope we see a full multitouch update to the Droid come down the pike eventually. In the meantime, everybody get your update on. (Thanks to everyone who sent this in)

Some great hackers over at ALLDROID has successfully overclocked the Moto Droid to 1.1GHZ. Yes ladies and gentlemen 1.1GHZ. Although running the phone at 1.1GHZ is unstable it runs perfectly fine at 800MHZ which is 200MHZ over the 600MHZ that the processor has been rated at. In fact ALLDROID has it running stable at this speed.
